Resort and Local Information

Dogwood Springs at Jasper Resort was established 37 years ago, originally built in 1968 as Dogwood Trailer Court. Its convenient location served Diamond Cave and the (now non-operational) Dogpatch USA area visitors. In 1972 the Buffalo National River Park was established as the first national river park in the country. In the early 90’s, the pool and lodging were added; the park was renovated in 2003, and we continue to make improvements.

Dogwood Springs at Jasper Resort can accommodate any size family and most groups. We can work with you to choose one of many options for lodging to meet your camping and budget needs. We are the only RV park, campground and lodging-rental (nightly or weekly) facility with a kids pool-slide, fenced playground and group site areas in the upper region of the Buffalo River. You can choose from camper cabins, cottages, kitchenettes, RVs and shaded tent sites. We now have premium RV Sites 30 or 50 amp long and wide pull-thrus for campers of all size with slideouts. Our Camp Store has fresh coffee and snacks available most weekend mornings in season. You can also find firewood, ice, soft drinks, hats, ice cream and homemade cookies. We carry a good selection of RV supplies and “necessities,” so if you forgot to pack something, you can check with us at our store.

THE GREAT OUTDOORS: Our natural, wooded area is the closest full-service facility to the Buffalo National River Park and Little Buffalo River. We’re only 1½ miles from the park access at Erbie entrance. Canoe shuttle pick-up and drop-off (in the park) can be scheduled with local canoe concessionaires. Or you can spend your day horseback riding on a scheduled trip to the beautiful countryside. From the park you can view deer in the adjoining pasture and hills and enjoy a variety of songbirds and small animals. Just up the road you can see elk in the Boxley Valley, explore the cave at Lost Valley, and hike the hills and trails in the Buffalo National River Park. Just up the road you cam visit the Hillary Jones Buffalo River Elk Museum just ¼ mile south of our entrance. You can arrange to have a zip-locked bagged lunch (prepared by Pizza Pro/Wing Depot in town) ready when you are, with snacks, drinks, or ice and last minute needs. We are just one mile north of Jasper on Scenic Byway 7, one of the country’s top ten scenic drives, and only 17 miles south of Harrison.

DINING: There are several “home cooking” casual cafes in town. The Pizza Pro/Wing Depot serves fast brunch all day, hand-tossed or thin crust pizza, quesadilla's, enchiladas, buffalo wings, cheese sticks, cinnamon sticks with icing, Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, plus more – and best of all, they deliver to the Resort free. They are located next to Emma’s Museum of Junk on the square.

MODEM ACCESS: is available in the office 8AM-10AM and 5PM-7PM, seven days a week. Other times may be pre-scheduled to meet your needs, based on availability. The first ten minutes are free. This policy is due to guests using and working on our line when others would need a way to check email or email a note.
